Going Off-The-Beaten-Path
When we first launched Mauritius Tours, everyone was booking generic tours, and it wasn’t easy to convince travellers that the best parts of Mauritius were far from the tourist hotspots and hidden deep in the island’s wild forests, coastal trails, and secret waterfalls. But that changed fast when our first client review gained over 1,000 likes in a single day, and more than 100 travellers messaged us in a day wanting the exact same experience. Travellers quickly realised that Mauritius had far more to offer than crowded viewpoints and standard sightseeing.
Our off-the-beaten-path hikes, waterfall adventures, and land and sea tours quickly became one of the most popular ways to explore Mauritius. After a decade working as a humanitarian worker at the United Nations, Jenny decided to pursue her passion for the outdoors by becoming a certified forest therapy guide as she strongly believes in nature’s healing power. Jenny is the co-founder of Mauritius Tours, holds degrees in management and speaks 5 languages.

Certified Guide • Photographer • Drone Pilot
Jay is our certified guide, drone pilot, video and photo editor. He swapped his 9 to 5 office job for one that takes him and his clients to all 4 corners of Mauritius, be it up majestic mountains or to the bottom of wonderful waterfalls whilst capturing memories of their adventures.
Nitish
Certified Rescue Diver • First Aider • Proud Firefighter
Nitish is a certified Rescue Diver (Dive Master level), First Aider, an experienced Firefighter with extensive skills as a Kayak Guide and a Hiking Guide. Fluent in English and French, Nitish combines strong leadership and safety expertise with a passion for outdoor adventure. Dedicated to providing safe, engaging, and memorable tour experiences, Nitish ensures every outing is both thrilling and secure.

Certified Guide • Photographer
Rahul is our educator, photographer, and cultural expert guide. With a deep passion for sharing Mauritius beyond the postcard views, he brings history, culture, and local stories to life on every tour. Whether guiding guests through vibrant villages, sacred sites, or hidden corners of the island, Rahul combines his teaching background with a keen eye for photography to create meaningful experiences and capture authentic moments along the way.

Krishna is a passionate and experienced tour guide dedicated to delivering safe, memorable, and authentic outdoor experiences. With a strong background as a first aider, firefighter, lifeguard, free diver, and certified scuba diving instructor, safety is always his top priority. A knowledgeable guide and naturalist, Krishna loves sharing the beauty of nature while ensuring every guest feels secure and inspired.
